When repairing a roof ornament, inside or outside a house or equipment you need for having access to the places you want to work in Out ¬ side, if you work for a long retain things you can consider building of scaffolding
. But for other work you probably either an extension ladder or a platform or tower, in a step-ladder.
Step-ladders
Painting a ceiling of standing on the floor and using a roller equipped with bar is safe, but very tiring. By yourself from the ground say 600mm or so – the work must be more diligent. A step by step you can to stand at different heights, without ever having to over-stretch. There are three main types:
• platform step ladders to general ¬ ally have five or more steps within one meters or so high with a large working platform above steps. These are generally all wood or aluminum
• Swing-on step ladders with a steel frame that is about one pivot to convert the steps in a straight ladder. One half were iron sports; other timber Treads
• three way ladders, made of alu ¬ minium, which can be used as a step ladder, a straight ladder or step ladder
You will also find the traditional wooden ‘decorators”ladders without platform (these steps are not designed for standing on) and small aluminum ladders, with only a few steps.
Platform step ladders are fairly easy to build but that is more subtle – if they catch on the top of the ladder in the extended position must be checked to ensure that deployed, and the ladder should be placed in the right way round .
